Scholarship Opportunity – Rutgers Urban Forestry Program

The Rutgers Urban Forestry Program is happy to announce a scholarship opportunity for Rutgers undergraduate students.

 

The funding is part of a one-time allocation of funding from support of the Marion E. McRae Trust Forestry Scholarship. https://scholarshipamerica.org/scholarship/marionmcrae/ 

We are planning to award two (2) $5000.00 Scholarships to eligible undergraduate students.

The award will be directly credited to the student’s account with the University bursar’s office.
Eligible candidates must: 

  • Be a resident of New Jersey
  • Be studying a major with a stated emphasis related to Forestry. As an example, a student in Plant Biology or EPIB could apply if their work and career plan has an intersection with forest land management or tree community function (urban, rural, or wildland).
  • Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.5

We ask interested students to self-nominate by filling out this form by October 6th, 2025.
