About this Partnership
Rutgers Urban Forestry Program has partnered with the NJ State Forest Service Urban & Community Forestry Program (NJUCF) to identify and develop continuing education and training opportunities for all those interested and engaged in developing and sustaining local urban and community forestry programs throughout the state.
NJUCF Continuing Education Opportunities
View our list below for continuing education and training opportunities that have been pre-approved for NJUCF Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credit.
To Request NJUCF CEUs
For a course to be pre-approved for NJUCF CEUs, you must submit:
- A copy of the agenda for the course including course date, topics discussed, and actual class time
- A brief description of the content of the course
- A list of speakers, their titles, and their credentials as they apply to the subjects they will be teaching
**If you would like the program to be listed with the NJUCF Continuing Education Opportunities, you must also submit contact information to be posted for registration purposes.**
An official NJUCF CEU Sign-In Sheet will be issued upon course approval. Course participants must complete the sign-in sheet and the course organizer must submit according to the instructions below. The course organizer is responsible for ensuring that participants do not sign the NJUCF CEU Sign-In Sheet until the end of the course.
For a course to be post-approved for NJUCF CEUs, you must submit:
- Proof of attendance from the course organizer showing your name, such as a sign-in sheet or certificate
- A copy of the agenda for the course including course date, topics discussed, and actual class time
- A brief description of the content of the course
- A list of speakers, their titles, and their credentials as they apply to the subjects they will be teaching

- Tree Board University (on-line asynchronous) 7 CEUs (on the last page of the course select “view and print your Tree Board University graduation certificate” **You must email a copy of this document to communityforestry@dep.nj.gov for NJUCF CEUs***)

- CA Urban Wood Academy Virtual Workshop (Online, Asynchronous) 5.5 CEUs ***You must email a copy of your certificate to communityforestry@dep.nj.gov to receive CEUs***
Webinars
The following webinars or webinar series have been pre-approved for NJ Urban & Community Forestry Program (NJUCF) Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
Webinars must be attended “live” (at the time they originally air), unless otherwise stated, in order to receive NJUCF CEU credit.
IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO OBTAIN PROOF OF ATTENDANCE FOR EACH WEBINAR, AND TO SUBMIT YOUR PROOF OF ATTENDANCE FOR NJUCF CEU CREDIT.
If you are interested in a webinar that is not on the pre-approved list, you should submit the webinar for consideration according to the procedures above to request NJUCF CEUs.
