Job Description:

Four Oaks Saw Works is seeking an Arborist and Sawyer Assistant Intern to work alongside our
licensed tree expert and sawyer to provide a range of tree services, plant health care, portable
saw milling services, and rough cut lumber. This is a unique opportunity for someone interested
in forestry and the environment to gain valuable experience in the field and work with a
reputable company in the industry.
Responsibilities:
● Assist the arborist and sawyer in performing tree care services such as pruning,
trimming, and removals.
● Operate equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, and stump grinders under the
supervision of the arborist and sawyer.
● Help with plant health care services, including pest and disease identification, diagnosis,
and treatment.
● Assist with portable saw milling services, including setting up equipment, loading and
unloading logs, and stacking lumber.
● Learn to operate the sawmill and cut lumber to desired sizes and specifications.
● Participate in general maintenance and cleanup of the work area and equipment.
Requirements:
● Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
● Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended
periods
● Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the job site.
● Must be available to work Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
● Interest in forestry and environmental studies is a plus.
● Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and hardworking attitude are necessary.
