🌳 Arbor Day Photo Contest 2026: “Tree Patterns” 🌳
We’re excited to announce the return of the Arbor Day Photo Contest for 2026!
All levels of photographers are encouraged to participate, whether you’re using a phone or a camera, all tree photos are welcome! There are three categories: elementary aged, high school, and adult.
This year’s theme is “Tree Patterns.”
Capture the fascinating shapes, textures, and rhythms found in trees: from the symmetry of leaves and branches to the intricate designs of bark, roots, and shadows. Show us how patterns bring beauty and structure to the natural world!
Winning photographs will be featured on the Rutgers Urban Forestry website and social media, by the NJ Shade Tree Federation, and the NJ Department of Environmental Protection Urban and Community Forestry Program.
Each person may submit up to two photos, taken by themselves. Some editing is permitted to balance lighting, etc., but no AI editing please. There should be only trees in the photos, no people please.
